         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health &  
         Human Services was held on Tuesday, February 15, 2005, in the  
         Senate Chamber at Austin, Texas.

         The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.  Having  
         established a quorum at a previous hearing, the following  
         business was transacted:   
          
         The Chair announced that in the interest of giving members more  
         time to review proposed amendments to Senate Bill 6, discussion  
         and voting on amendments would take place at a hearing on  
         Tuesday, February 22, 2005. 
          
         There being no further business, at 9:08 a.m. the Chair moved  
         that the Committee stand recessed until 9 a.m. Tuesday, February  
         22; without objection, it was so ordered.
