         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Criminal  
         Justice was held on Monday, April 17, 2006, in the Capitol  
         Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

         The chair called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.  There being  
         a quorum present, the following business was transacted:   
          
         The Committee then heard invited testimony concerning the Sales  
         to Intoxicated Persons Stings program conducted by the Texas  
         Alcoholic Beverage Commission.  Witnesses testifying and  
         registering are shown on the attached list.   
          
         The Committee then heard public testimony from individuals  
         concerned with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and  
         similar issues.  Witnesses testifying and registering are shown  
         on the attached list.   
          
         There being no further business, at 8:55 p.m. Senator Whitmire  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
