         Upon final adjourn./recess

         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 4, 2005,  
         the House Committee on State Affairs met in a formal meeting and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Swinford, at  
         7:42 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Swinford; Miller; Cook, Byron;  
                    Villarreal; Wong (5). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Gattis; Farrar; Keffer, Jim; Martinez  
                    Fischer (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Representative Miller moved that the May 2, 2005 minutes for the  
         House Committee on State Affairs be corrected. The corrected  
         minutes were authorized without objection. 
          
         At 7:43 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
