Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 27,
2005, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative
Swinford, at 4:11 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Farrar; Keffer, Jim; Martinez Fischer (6).
Absent: Representatives Gattis; Villarreal; Wong (3).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HCR 155.

Representative Keffer, Jim moved that HCR 155, without
amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the
Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed
by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Swinford; Miller; Cook, Byron;
Farrar; Keffer, Jim; Martinez Fischer;
Villarreal; Wong (8).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Gattis (1).
HB 1094
The chair laid out HB 1094.
Representative Villarreal moved that HB 1094, without
amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion
prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Swinford; Cook, Byron; Farrar;
Keffer, Jim; Martinez Fischer; Villarreal; Wong
(7).
Nays: Representative Miller (1).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Gattis (1).
At 4:14 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
