Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18,
2005, the House Committee on Regulated Industries met in a
formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,
Representative King, Phil, at 9:30 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Absent: Representatives Turner; Baxter; Hartnett (3).
A quorum was present.
SB 408
The chair laid out SB 408.
Representative King, Phil offered a complete committee
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Crabb moved that SB 408, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives King, Phil; Hunter; Cook, Robby;
Crabb (4).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Turner; Baxter; Hartnett (3).
SB 711
The chair laid out SB 711 as pending business.
Representative Hunter offered an amendment to the measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.

Representative Hunter moved that SB 711, as amended, be reported
favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do
pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following
record vote:

Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Turner; Hartnett (2).
HR 1750
The chair laid out HR 1750.
Representative Baxter moved that HR 1750, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:

Nays: None (0).

At 9:38 a.m., on the motion of Representative Cook, Robby and
without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call
of the chair.
