CORRECTED MINUTES
On April 7, 2005, the House Committee on Law Enforcement
authorized the correction of the minutes for the meeting of the
House Committee on Law Enforcement held on March 7, 2005. The
following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:
Pursuant to a notice posted on March 2, 2005 and a revision
posted on March 3, 2005 and March 4, 2005, the House Committee
on Law Enforcement met in a public hearing and was called to
order by the chair, Representative Driver, at 1:36 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Driver; Jackson, Jim; Burnam; Frost;
Hupp (5).
Absent: Representatives Hegar; Veasey (2).
A quorum was present.
(Representative Veasey now present.)
HB 544
The chair laid out HB 544 as pending business.
Representative Burnam offered a complete committee substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Naishtat to explain the
measure.
(Representative Hegar now present.)
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Burnam moved that HB 544, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Driver; Jackson, Jim; Hegar;
Burnam; Frost; Hupp; Veasey (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: None (0).

measure.
