         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 22,  
         2005, the House Committee on Local Government Ways & Means met  
         in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Hill, at 11:46 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Hill; Elkins; Puente; Quintanilla;  
                    Uresti (5). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Hamilton; Laubenberg (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 182 
          
         The chair laid out HB 182 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Uresti offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Quintanilla moved that HB 182, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:           Representatives Hill; Elkins; Puente;  
                         Quintanilla; Uresti (5). 
          
         Nays:           None (0). 
          
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0). 
          
         Absent:         Representatives Hamilton; Laubenberg  (2). 
          
         At 11:54 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
