Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 9, 2005,
the House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures met
in a formal meeting and was called to order by the acting chair,
Representative Geren at 9:58 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Geren; Goolsby; Hamilton; Homer;
Jones, Delwin; Morrison (6).
Absent: Representatives Flores; Chisum; Quintanilla (3).
A quorum was present.
HB 193
The chair laid out HB 193 as pending business.
The chair recognized Representative Jones, Delwin to explain the
measure.
Representative Geren offered a complete committee substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Jones, Delwin to explain the
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Jones, Delwin moved that HB 193, as substituted,
be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Geren; Goolsby; Hamilton; Homer;
Jones, Delwin; Morrison (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Flores; Chisum; Quintanilla
(3).

The chair recalled HB 36 from subcommittee.
The chair laid out HB 36.
The chair recognized Representative Jones, Delwin to explain the
measure.
Representative Jones, Delwin moved that HB 36, without
amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion failed
by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Hamilton; Jones, Delwin;
Morrison; Quintanilla (4).
Nays: Representatives Geren; Goolsby; Homer (3).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Flores; Chisum (2).
The chair directed that the May 3, 2005, minutes for the House
Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures be corrected.
The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.
At 10:02 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
