         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 22,  
         2005, the House Committee on Judiciary met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hartnett,  
         at 11:30 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Hartnett; Hopson; Alonzo; Gonzales;  
                    Straus; Van Arsdale (6). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Hughes; Keel; Solis (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 3155 
          
         The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which HB 3155 was  
         reported.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection. 
          
         The chair laid out HB 3155.

         Representative Hartnett offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Gonzales moved that HB 3155, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:
