Pursuant to a notice posted on September 28, 2006, the House Committee on Defense Affairs & State-Federal Relations met in a joint public hearing together with the House Committee on Border and International Affairs and was called to order by the chair, Representative Corte, Frank, at 10:15 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Corte, Frank; Herrero; Leibowitz; Merritt (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Campbell; Berman; Hodge; Moreno, Paul; Noriega, Rick (5).

At 12:09 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the Committee stood at ease.

 

The committee was called back to order at 12:55 p.m. by the chair, Representative Corte, Frank.
