         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 26, 2006, the House  
         Committee on Defense Affairs & State-Federal Relations met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the acting chair,  
         Representative Campbell at 9:00 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Campbell; Berman; Corte Valerie;  
                    Leibowitz; Merritt (5). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Herrero; Hodge; Moreno, Paul;  
                    Noriega, Rick; Corte, Frank (5). 
          
         Valerie Corte is the Temporary Acting Representative acting in  
         the place of  Chairman Frank Corte Jr.  
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 9:55 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until adjournment or recess of the full  
         House of Representatives on May 2,2006. 
          
         At 12:47 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
