Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 4,
2005 and a suspension of necessary rules to meet while the House
is in session, the House Committee on Defense Affairs &
State-Federal Relations met in a formal meeting and was called
to order by the chair, Representative Corte, at 12:59 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Corte; Campbell; Berman; Herrero;
Leibowitz; Noriega, Melissa (6).
Absent: Representatives Hodge; Merritt; Moreno, Paul (3).
A quorum was present.
HB 1009
The chair laid out HB 1009 as pending business.
Representative Noriega, Melissa moved that HB 1009, without
amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion
prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Corte; Campbell; Berman;
Herrero; Leibowitz; Noriega, Melissa (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Hodge; Merritt; Moreno, Paul
(3).
At 1:02 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
