         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 25, 2005, the House  
         Committee on House Administration met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Hamric, at  
         11:35 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Hamric; Dawson; Denny; Giddings;  
                    Hughes; Keel; Menendez; Pena (8). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Berman; Davis, John; Taylor (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair recognized Representative Gattis to explain the  
         measure.  
          
         The chair recognized Representative Gattis to close on the  
         measure.

         The chair recognized Representative Denny to explain the  
         measure.  
          
         The chair recognized Representative Denny to close on the

         measure.

         The Chair recognizes Representative Berman for a motion. 
          
         Representative Berman moves to grant Representative Hamric,  
         Chairman of the Committee on House Administration, the authority  
         to act on the committee's behalf in matters involving the  
         management of the general budget, approval of expenditure  
         request by House members, management of House facilities,  
         coordination with House support personnel and general  
         enforcement of House policies and procedures.  
          
         Chairman asks for any objection, were none.  The motion passed  
         without objection. 
          
         At 12:10 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
