         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 2, 2005, the House  
         Committee on Financial Institutions met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Solomons, at  
         2:10 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Solomons; McCall; Guillen; Flynn;  
                    Orr; Riddle (6). 
          
         Absent:    Representative Chavez (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair outlined his plans for the committee.  The chair  
         recognized new committee members to make introductory remarks.

         Testimony was taken from invited representatives of agencies  
         under the committee's jurisdiction.

         At 3:50 pm, on the motion of Representative McCall and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the  
         chair.
