         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 4, 2005,  
         the House Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Bonnen, at 11:58 a.m.   
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Bonnen; Howard; Driver; Homer;  
                    Kuempel (5). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives King, Tracy; Smith, Wayne (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 1281 
          
         The chair laid out SB 1281, the companion to HB 1899. 
          
         (Representative King, Tracy now present.) 
          
         Representative Kuempel moved that SB 1281, without amendments,  
         be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:           Representatives Bonnen; Howard; King, Tracy;  
                         Driver; Homer; Kuempel (6). 
          
         Nays:           None (0). 
          
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0). 
          
         Absent:         Representative Smith, Wayne  (1). 
          
         HB 2728 
          
         The chair laid out HB 2728 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Howard offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Howard moved that HB 2728, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:

                                         Driver; Kuempel (5). 
           
         Nays:           None (0).
