Pursuant to a notice posted on May 17, 2005, the House Committee
on Economic Development met in a formal meeting and was called
to order by the chair, Representative Ritter, at 4:46 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Ritter; Cook, Byron; Anchia; Deshotel
(4).
Absent: Representatives Kolkhorst; McCall; Seaman (3).
A quorum was present.
SB 831
The chair laid out SB 831.
Representative Deshotel offered a complete committee substitute.
Representative Deshotel moved to adopt the committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Cook, Byron moved that SB 831, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Ritter; Cook, Byron; Anchia;
Deshotel (4).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Kolkhorst; McCall; Seaman (3).

The chair laid out SB 1096.
Representative Anchia moved that SB 1096, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:

Deshotel (4).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).

The chair laid out SB 1229.
Representative Ritter offered an amendment to the measure.
Representative Cook, Byron moved to adopt the amendment. The
amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Cook, Byron moved that SB1229, as amended, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:

Deshotel (4).
