Pursuant to a notice posted on May 12, 2005, an announcement
from the house floor and permission granted to meet while the
house was in session, the House Committee on Economic
Development met in a formal meeting and was called to order by
the chair, Representative Ritter, at 4:10 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Ritter; Cook, Byron; Anchia;
Deshotel; McCall (5).
Absent: Representatives Kolkhorst; Seaman (2).
A quorum was present.
SB 788
The chair laid out SB 788.
Representative McCall moved that SB 788, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Ritter; Cook, Byron; Anchia;
Deshotel; McCall (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Kolkhorst; Seaman (2).
Discussion followed.
Representative McCall moved to reconsider the vote by which SB
788 was reported from committee. The motion to reconsider
prevailed without objection.
Representative McCall moved to leave SB 788 pending. The bill
was left pending without objection.

The chair laid out SB 998.
Representative Anchia moved that SB 998, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
