Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20,
2005, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting
and was called to order by the chair, Representative Madden, at
12:00 p.m.

Absent: Representative Noriega, Melissa (1).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 769 as pending business.
The chair explained the measure.
Representative Hochberg moved that SB 769, without amendments,
be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Madden; Jones, Delwin; Haggerty;
Allen, Ray; Hochberg; McReynolds (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Noriega, Melissa (1).
SJR 20
The chair laid out SJR 20 as pending business.
The chair explained the measure.
Representative Haggerty moved that SJR 20, without amendments,
be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Madden; Haggerty; Hochberg;
McReynolds (4).
Nays: Representative Jones, Delwin (1).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Allen, Ray; Noriega, Melissa
(2).

The chair explained the measure.
The bill was left pending without objection.
At 12:03 p.m., on the motion of Representative Jones, Delwin and
without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call
of the chair.
