Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2005,
the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting and
was called to order by the chair, Representative Madden, at 2:58
p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Absent: Representative McReynolds, Jim (1).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 396.
Representative Allen, Ray offered a complete committee
substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Allen, Ray to explain the
measure.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Noriega, Melissa moved that SB 396, as
substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion
prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Madden; Jones, Delwin; Haggerty;
Allen, Ray; Hochberg; Noriega, Melissa (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative McReynolds, Jim (1).

The chair laid out SB 938.
Representative Hochberg offered a complete committee substitute.
