Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 11,
2005, and with permission from the Full House to meet while the
house was in session, the House Committee on Corrections met in
a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,
Representative Madden, at 11:43 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Madden; Jones, Delwin; Allen, Ray;
Hochberg; McReynolds (5).
Absent: Representatives Haggerty; Noriega, Melissa (2).
A quorum was present.
HB 129
The chair laid out HB 129 as pending business.
Representative Hochberg offered a complete committee substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Berman to explain the
measure.
Representative Hochberg moved that HB 129, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Madden; Jones, Delwin; Allen,
Ray; Hochberg; McReynolds (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Haggerty; Noriega, Melissa (2).
At 11:46 a.m., on the motion of Representative Jones, Delwin and
without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call
of the chair.
