Pursuant to a notice posted on March 17, 2005, the House
Committee on Business & Industry met in a formal meeting and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Giddings, at 9:17
a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Giddings; Elkins; Martinez; Bohac;
Solomons; Taylor; Vo; Zedler (8).
Absent: Representative Bailey (1).
A quorum was present.
Representative Elkins moved to reconsider the vote by which HB 7
as substituted was adopted. The motion to reconsider prevailed
without objection.

The chair laid out HB 7.
Representative Elkins offered a complete committee substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Solomons to explain the
measure.
The chair recognized Representative Solomons to close on the
measure.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Elkins moved that HB 7, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Giddings; Elkins; Martinez;
Bohac; Solomons; Taylor; Vo; Zedler (8).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Bailey (1).
At 9:23 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
