         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 22, 2005, the House  
         Committee on Border and International Affairs met in a work  
         session and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Chavez, at 8:10 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Chavez; Griggs; Alonzo; Merritt; Vo  
                    (5). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Castro; Moreno, Joe E. (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The committee met for breakfast with members of the Congress of  
         the Mexican State of Tamaulipas. 
          
         At 8:45 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
