Proposing a constitutional amendment authorizing the issuance of
general obligation bonds to provide loans for economic development
projects that enhance the military value of military installations
in the state.
On April 22, 2003, Senator Van de Putte moved that the 24-hour posting
rules, Senate Rule 11.10(a) and Senate Rule 11.18(a), be suspended so that
the Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations might meet at
1:30 PM, or immediately upon adjournment of the Senate's session, on April
22, 2003, at Senator Van de Putte's desk, in the chamber of the Texas
Senate, to again take up and reconsider Senate Joint Resolution No. 55 in
order that procedural flaws in the committee's earlier deliberations upon
Senate Joint Resolution No. 55 may be corrected and superceded.
