The Committee will hear the following bills:

HB 1236            Hopson
Relating to information required to be placed in a pen packet
accompanying a defendant on transfer from county jail to the Texas
Department of Criminal Justice.

HB 291            Talton
Relating to the qualifications for membership on the Board of
Pardons and Paroles.

HB 864            Kolkhorst
Relating to prohibiting the introduction or possession of certain
items in correctional facilities or on certain property of the
Texas Department of Criminal Justice; providing penalties.

HB 24            Hodge
Relating to the restoration of good conduct time forfeited during a
term of imprisonment.

HB 29            Hodge
Relating to the reliability of statements used at certain hearings
regarding violations of a person's release on parole, mandatory
supervision, or conditional pardon.

HB 1190            Allen
Relating to the interagency exchange of information regarding
certain offenders.

HB 1372            Allen
Relating to the sale of prison articles and products and to the
operation of private sector prison industries programs.

The Committee will also hear public testimony.
