         11.18, a public hearing of the Joint Select Committee on Public  
         School Finance was held on Thursday, October 2, 2003, in the

         The chair called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.  There being  
         a quorum present, the following business was transacted:   
          
         The Chair made opening remarks and welcomed the members of the  
         Committee and the invited witnesses.   
          
         Witnesses testifying and registering on the issue are shown on  
         the attached list.   
          
         There being no further business, at 10:25 a.m. Senator Shapiro  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
