Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rules 11.10 and 11.18 by
Senator Fraser, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on
Business & Commerce was held on Thursday, May 1, 2003, at
Senator Fraser's Desk, Senate Chamber, Austin, Texas.

Chairman Fraser called the meeting to order at 1:07 p.m. There
being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
The Chairman laid out SB 770, pending in committee, and
recognized the author, Senator Madla. Senator Fraser moved that
SB 770 be reported favorably to the Senate with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion
carried with a record vote of 5 ayes, 2 nays, 0 present not
voting, and 2 absent.
There being no further business, at 1:12 p.m. Chairman Fraser
moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of
the chairman. Without objection, it was so ordered.
