         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on  
         Administration was held on Monday, March 24, 2003, in the  
         Administration Committee room, E1.714

         Senator Juan Hinojosa, the acting chair, called the meeting to  
         order at 4:09 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following  
         business was transacted:   
          
         Senator Janek moved adoption of the minutes from the previous  
         hearing held on March 17, 2003; without objection, it was so  
         ordered.   
          
         The chair laid out the recommended list for the Local and  
         Uncontested Calendar scheduled for March 27, 2003.  Senator  
         Whitmire moved that all bills on the recommended list be  
         certified for the Local and Uncontested Calendar scheduled for  
         March 27, 2003; without objection, it was so ordered. 
          
         There being no further business, at 4:10 p.m. Senator Hinojosa  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
