CORRECTED MINUTES
On April 9, 2003, the House Committee on Ways & Means authorized
the correction of the minutes for the meeting of the House
Committee on Ways & Means held on March 26, 2003. The following
are the corrected minutes for that meeting:
Pursuant to a notice posted on March 21, 2003, the House
Committee on Ways & Means met in a public hearing and was called
to order by the chair, Representative Wilson, at 7:03 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Wilson; McCall; Pitts; Hilderbran;
Luna; Ritter (6).
Absent: Representatives Keffer, Jim; Paxton; Woolley (3).
A quorum was present.
(Representative Paxton now present.)
HB 202
The chair laid out HB 202.
The chair recognized Representative Berman to explain the
measure.
Representative Paxton offered a complete committee substitute.
Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.)
The chair recognized Representative Berman to close on the
measure.
Representative Hilderbran offered an amendment to the committee
substitute.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments into
a committee substitute.
The committee substitute, as amended, was adopted without
objection.
The chair moved that HB 202, as substituted, be reported
favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do
pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following
record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Wilson; McCall; Pitts;
Hilderbran; Paxton; Ritter (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Keffer, Jim; Luna; Woolley (3).

measure.

At 8:30 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
