         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 2, 2003,  
         the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal meeting and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Talton, at 8:54  
         p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Talton; Van Arsdale; Bailey; Hunter  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Menendez; Edwards; Wong (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair directed that the April 9, 2003, minutes for the House  
         Committee on Urban Affairs be corrected. The corrected minutes  
         were authorized without objection. 
          
         At 8:55 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
