         Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on May 26,  
         2003, the House Committee on Transportation met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Krusee, at 8:19 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Krusee; Phillips; Hamric; Edwards;  
                   Harper-Brown; Mercer (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Garza; Hill; Laney (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The committee discussed transportation issues. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 9:36 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
