         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on July 15,  
         2003, the House Committee on Rules & Resolutions met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Edwards, at 2:57 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Representative Casteel, seconded by Representative Zedler, moved  
         to place the following measures on the Congratulatory and  
         Memorial Resolutions Calendar for Friday, July 18, 2003:  HCR1,  
         HCR2, HCR3, HCR5, HCR10, HCR11, HR2, HR4, HR8, HR9, HR11, HR12,  
         HR13, HR14, HR15, HR16, HR17, HR18, HR19, HR20, HR21, HR22,  
         HR23, HR25, HR26, HR27, HR30, HR31, HR32, HR33, HR34, HR35,  
         HR36, HR37, HR38, HR48, HR50, HR54, HR55, HR56, HR57, HR59,  
         HR63, HR64, HR65, HR66, HR67.  
          
         The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

         Nays:               None (0).

         On a motion by Vice-chair Representative Wong, the committee  
         will not place HR 7 on the calendar until the rule can be  
         adequately addressed in a public hearing by the committee. 
          
         On a motion by Chairman Edwards, the Chair announced that all  
         resolutions referred today to the Rules and Resolutions  
         committee will be placed on the Congratulatory and Memorial  
         Resolutions Calendar for Friday, July, 18, 2003. 
         At 3:04 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
