Pursuant to a notice posted on March 5, 2003, the House
Committee on State Cultural and Recreational Resources met in a
public hearing and was called to order by the chair,
Representative Hilderbran, at 2:03 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Cook, Byron;
Phillips (4).
Absent: Representatives Dukes; Bailey; Kuempel (3).
A quorum was present.
HCR 16
The chair laid out HCR 16.

The chair recognized Representative Flores to explain the
measure.
Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.)

The chair recognized Representative Flores to close on the
measure.
Representative Kuempel moved that HCR 16, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Dukes;
Cook, Byron; Kuempel; Phillips (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Bailey (1).
HB 1328
The chair laid out HB 1328.
The chair recognized Representative Phillips to explain the
measure.

The chair recognized Representative Phillips to close on the
measure.
Representative Cook, Byron moved that HB 1328, without
amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the
Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed
by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Hilderbran; Dukes; Cook,
Byron; Kuempel; Phillips (5).
Nays: None (0).

The chair laid out HB 815.
Representative Hilderbran offered a complete committee
substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Hupp to explain the measure.

measure.
The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection.
The bill was left pending without objection.
At 3:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
