         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 10, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Law Enforcement met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Driver, at 10:12  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Driver; Hegar; Hupp; Keel (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Burnam; Davis, Yvonne; Garza (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The committee heard testimony on all interim charges assigned to  
         the committee.

         At 1:56 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
