         Committee on Public School Finance, Select, Subcommittee on  
         Governance, met in a formal meeting and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Swinford, at 1:05 p.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Swinford; Keffer, Jim; Madden; Pitts  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Garza (1). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chairman made opening remarks, and recognized Mr. Don  
         McAdams, public member of the Select Committee on Public School  
         Finance. 
          
         Discussion of Statewide Data on instructional and  
         non-instructional costs compiled by Comptroller 
          
         Discussion of TEA's Snapshot 2002 
          
         Discussion of possible future subject matter  
          
         At 1:51 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
