         Pursuant to a notice posted on June 14, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Local Government Ways and Means met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Hill, at 10:03 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hill; Hegar; McReynolds; Mowery (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Laubenberg; Puente; Quintanilla (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 1:35 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:50 p.m., June 24, 2004. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:54 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Hill. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hill; Hegar; McReynolds; Mowery;  
                   Puente (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Laubenberg; Quintanilla (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 2:37 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
