         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 9, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Mowery, at  
         8:40 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Mowery; Jones, Jesse; Pickett;  
                   Escobar; Haggerty; Hochberg (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Guillen; Howard; Noriega (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 11:40 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
