         Committee on Human Services met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Uresti, at 10:25  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Wohlgemuth; Christian; Miller; Olivo;  
                   Villarreal (5). 
          
         A quorum was not present.

         the meeting was recessed until 1:15 p.m., October 14, 2004.
