         Pursuant to a notice posted on September 21, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Human Services met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Uresti, at 10:14  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Uresti; Naishtat; Reyna (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Wohlgemuth; Christian; McCall; Miller;  
                   Olivo; Villarreal (6). 
          
         A quorum was not present.

         At 11:30 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
