         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 21,  
         2003, the House Committee on Defense Affairs and State-Federal  
         Relations met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the  
         chair, Representative Corte, at 12:27 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         SB 1288 
          
         The chair laid out SB 1288 as pending business, the companion to  
         HB 2400. 
          
         Representative Noriega moved that SB 1288, without amendments,  
         be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Corte; Campbell; Berman;  
                             Mabry; Moreno, Paul; Noriega; Seaman (7).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).
