Pursuant to a notice posted on March 26, 2003, and a motion made
on the floor of the House suspending the 5 day posting rule, the
House Committee on Government Reform met in a public hearing and
was called to order by the chair, Representative Swinford, at
8:12 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Swinford; Gallego; Allen; Casteel;
Cook, Robby (5).
Absent: Representatives Callegari; Smith, Todd (2).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 1627.
The chair recognized Representative Keffer, Jim to explain the
measure.
Representative Gallego offered an amendment to the measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
