         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 14, 2003 and revised on  
         February 18, 2003, the House Committee on General Investigating  
         met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Bailey, at 9:12 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Bailey; Paxton; Flynn; Keel (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Dutton (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Chairman Bailey discussed the procedures and latitude with which  
         the House Committee on General Investigating can operate.  
         Chairman Bailey proceeded to cover the two (2) agenda items that  
         the committee will investigate. Chairman Bailey asked for  
         suggestions or ideas from committee members on other items to  
         investigate. 
          
         At 9:38 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
