         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 6, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Financial Institutions met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Solomons, at  
         11:30 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Solomons; Flynn; Christian; Hopson;  
                   Paxton; Wise (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Gutierrez (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken on the subject of the committee's interim  
         activities.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 1:30 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
