         Pursuant to a notice posted on September 13, 2004, the House  
         Committee on County Affairs met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Smith, Wayne, at  
         2:03 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Smith, Wayne; Chisum; Flynn; Lewis;  
                   Olivo; Quintanilla (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Casteel; Farabee; Farrar (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 3:35 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
