On April 30, 2003, the House Committee on County Affairs
authorized the correction of the minutes for the meeting of the
House Committee on County Affairs held on April 23, 2003. The
following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:
Pursuant to a notice posted on April 25, 2003, the House
Committee on County Affairs met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Lewis, at 8:14 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Lewis; Smith, Wayne; Farabee; Flynn;
Quintanilla (5).
Absent: Representatives Casteel; Chisum; Farrar; Olivo (4).
A quorum was present.
HB 3578
The chair laid out HB 3578 as pending business.
Representative Flynn offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Flynn moved that HB 3578, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Lewis; Smith, Wayne;
Farabee; Flynn; Quintanilla (5).
