         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 17, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Construction-Related Workers' Comp, Select met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the co-chair,  
         Representative Giddings, at 10:15 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Menendez; Phillips; Stick (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 2:29 p.m., on the motion of co-chair, Representative Nixon,  
         and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the
