Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2003,
the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a formal meeting
and was called to order by the acting chair, Representative
Gattis at 12:47 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

The chair laid out SB 1010, the companion to HB 2813.
Representative Hartnett offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative King moved that SB 1010, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
