         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 5, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Civil Practices met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Nixon, at 2:04 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Nixon; Gattis; Capelo; Davis, Yvonne;  
                   King; Krusee; Rose (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hartnett; Woolley (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

         The Chair recognized Representative Eiland. 
          
         At 3:35 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
