         Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule and an  
         announcement on May 5, 2003, and on May 6, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Business & Industry met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Giddings, at 5:34  
         p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:
