         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 17,  
         2003, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General  
         Government met in a formal meeting and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Pickett, at 4:25 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pickett; Crownover; Hamric (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Isett; McClendon (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee met to discuss issues relating to  
         appropriations for 2004-2005. 
          
         (Representative McClendon now present.) 
          
         At 4:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 5:45 p.m., March 17, 2003. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 5:45 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Pickett. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pickett; Hamric; McClendon (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Crownover; Isett (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee continued to discuss issues relating to  
         appropriations for 2004-2005. 
          
         At 5:50 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned.
