         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 14, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Pickett, at 11:55 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pickett; Crownover; Hamric (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Isett; McClendon (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee met to discuss issues relating to  
         appropriations for 2004-2005. 
          
         (Representative McClendon now present.) 
          
         At 12:58 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed.  
          
         The committee reconvened at 4:24 p.m., March 17, 2003, and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Pickett. The roll  
         was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pickett; Crownover; Hamric (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Isett; McClendon (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         At 4:24 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
